Overall a good language app, but has several issues. On the Italian lessons, the main instructor is not a native speaker, and although the pronunciation is close, it detracts from hearing the language as it should sound. Native speakers are always best so the student can get an ear for the language properly. On the test portions, words which do not denote gender in English are not annotated, which leaves one guessing which one it wants you to say. The microphone portion is inconsistent, even when the word is pronounced properly, or fails to detect speech at all. If these issues were improved this language app would be a much better product.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback, Violet. Our team is currently working on updating the Rocket Italian audio so that both parts are spoken by native speakers. In the meantime, you can also check out the Role Playing activities to hear the full dialogue spoken by native speakers. The gender and formality indicators can be found in the top-right corner of flashcards and the bottom-right corner of other testing activities, just hover over the notation to see more information. As for the microphone issue, please get in touch with our support team (support@rocketlanguages.com), and we'd be happy to take a closer look.
There isn't a great way to review individual pieces of vocabulary (e.g. learn all the conjugations of 'aller'), and there is something of a sticker shock, but the course is generally quite good. I intend to buy the next two pieces once I have completed this one.

The biggest issue for me is the ability for the app to record my voice. I say things exactly as they are and it gets it completely wrong, causing me to get frustrated and delaying me through the course.

Rocket Spanish is a solid teaching aid, it introduces the concepts in a sensible fashion, building upon previous concepts nicely. There are a few convenience features missing such as not being able to see where you are in the program easily while in a module or the ability to reset progress in a module so you can redo it for practice (you can always redo a module but it doesn't reset the progress for the module). The only real negative though is the constant nag screens to leave a review.
