Rocket German is great for wanting to get serious about learning and applying German in real life with a structured approach. Compared to other gamified apps which can be fun, Rocket german adds to the fun by having clear lesson goals to achieve, and I feel acomplished after practicing recogising words, writing and speaking. highly recommended and I am aiming for Rocket German to help me all the way to B1 test.
Response from Rocket Languages
Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, Tom. We're so glad to hear that you are enjoying the course and we're happy to have another dedicated German learner in the Rocket German Community. Keep up the good work!
Enjoying it so far. Good to be made to repeat everything.
Response from Rocket Languages
It's great to hear that you are enjoying the course so far. We hope the course continues to meet your standards as you progress.
A gripe actually. In most of the listening exercises the male speaker does not speak clearly. Even when I reveal the correct word/phrase, I still cannot hear it clearly. I often just skip past any male speaker parts.
Response from Rocket Languages
Thank you for your honest feedback, Neil. We want every part of the lessons to feel clear and useful, so we’re sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the male speaker recordings. We’ll pass this along to our team for review. In the meantime, if you’d like, please contact us at support@rocketlanguages.com so we can suggest strategies to make these exercises easier to follow.
There is a kind of IT glitch with timing. Before I am finished saying a longer sentence, the 100% green comes on. Then I simply repeat the sentence. But it's kind of irritating. Not a bit deal, but yeah, a kind of glitch in timing...
Response from Rocket Languages
Thank you for sharing this, Lynn; it’s helpful to know how the timing is affecting your experience. It sounds like the system is sometimes marking phrases as complete too early, especially when sentences are spoken more slowly or are longer. We understand how that could be frustrating, even if it’s a minor issue. If it continues to be disruptive, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team at support@rocketlanguages.com; we'd be happy to take a closer look.
Rocket is the most comprehensive language learning tool on the market. I have used other programs recently and there really is no comparison to Rocket the course.
Response from Rocket Languages
Thank you for your review, Bruce. We're really glad to hear that you are enjoying the course. All the best!
Overall robust content and well thought learning structure.
The voice recognition capability is spotty (sometimes creates a lot of frustration...), e.g. on very short words, number related words.
It will also be helpful if the "vocabulary" related features (marking it in the class; review it together in the "tools" section) are available in mobile version.
Response from Rocket Languages
Thank you for the thoughtful feedback. We're glad you found the content robust and the structure well designed; that means a lot to us. We understand how frustrating inconsistent voice recognition can be, especially with short or number-related words, and we’re continually working to improve that experience. Your suggestion about enhancing vocabulary features on the mobile version is a great one and has been noted. Thanks again for helping us improve!
am so happy to be here to this wonderful platform I'm so interested
Response from Rocket Languages
We're so happy to have you here! Thanks for the kind words; your excitement means a lot. Wishing you the best as you continue learning.
The female native speaker’s pronunciation is quite challenging, and I’ve had to go offsite to find the correct pronunciation of certain words. Additionally, the language recognition feature is not always accurate.
Response from Rocket Languages
Thank you for your honest feedback. We’re sorry to hear the pronunciation and voice recognition haven’t always met your expectations. Our team is continuously working to improve these features, and your input is very helpful. If you’re open to it, we’d love to hear more about the specific words or lessons that gave you trouble; please feel free to reach out at support@rocketlanguages.com.
too much reading. Im learning a language not reading an essay about a language. either read it to me or put in exercises to keep me locked in
Response from Rocket Languages
Thanks for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the lessons feel too reading-heavy for you. While we aim to offer in-depth explanations, we also include a variety of interactive activities like audio, speaking practice, and exercises to support different learning styles. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts and will keep them in mind as we continue improving the experience. If there’s anything specific we can help with, feel free to reach out to support@rocketlanguages.com.
Still on the first module, but enjoying the program. The only thing that bothers me is that there is too much explanation and repetition even in English. I would not mind repeating dozens of times the language I am learning, but not English (unless I was taking an English course).
Response from Rocket Languages
Glad to hear you're enjoying Rocket French, Bruno. We understand your concerns regarding the English present in the course. However, the idea behind this is to provide learners with the support they need to truly grasp the structure of the language. You might also find the English limiting if your French is slightly more advanced than the current lesson you are on; if that is the case, feel free to reach out to our support team, and we would be happy to offer you advice on the best place to start!
