Very good balance of written and spoken.
Pace of new words is good.
Native accents are helpful.
An interesting experience and interaction for learning Japanese, a solemn language.
I just started with this course and I find the content really comprehensive. Exercises are nicely structured and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. BUT! (now for the bad part):
FOR GOD SAKE, please reduce the narrator content. She just keeps blabbering in English and even in the first lesson it starts to feel unnatural and annoying. Lessons are 30 min long and they could be half that size if she just stops her completely unnecessary commentary. I REALLY hope she will just stop talking in more advanced lessons and I will hear more German. As you can see I am really annoyed with that haha.
All in all it's a really good course and good value.
Cheers

Hi Andrija - Level 1 of Rocket German is a beginners course so there is more explanations in English and less German as it can be overwhelming if there was too much German. As the course progresses there is more German and less English!
Overall this is great as it focus on speaking which is my favourite part of language learning.
The problematic part for me currently is not being able to just download the French audio conversations only.
I do not wish to go through the English parts of the lesson and will really prefer a French only audio to help improve on my listening skills as well.
The audio is there but the download button isn't for the French only parts.

Hi Chua - You can download all the French conversations in one audio track from lesson 8.1.
I find Alessando’s dumbing down side comments unnecessary and interrupts concentration. Childish, tedious and unprofessional. Thank you.
I found the courses interactive! Better than using Duolingo for the first month as this helps me to build a base and interest in learning the language. But I kind of get to a plateau after finishing level 2, so I go to do the travelogue, which is quite fun. Though at the first half of travelogue, I found the story plot is like kind of missing something, luckily the later part improves a lot with more conversation. But it is frustrating that there isn't a all-merge dialogue that includes all the audios from previous lessons, like the review audio in level 1,2,3. So basically I can't go hand-free to listen back the dialogues that I have gone through while I am cooking, running ...etc. And the updated version of level 1,2,3 is putting away something I found very nice - that’s having the conversion dialogue at the end of the same lesson page, instead of putting them at the “all conversation” part. Hope these features can be added and improved. Thanks!

Hi Ka - I will be in touch via email to get more clarification on your suggestions!
Rocket (Spanish) is, I believe, a great language learning program. I say “I believe” because I have been using it a short time and have not successfully learned a Spanish, yet.
Pros:
I chose Rocket over courses from other companies because the trial demonstrated that it is more thorough.
It also seemed to focus on Mexican Spanish instead of European. Since I live in California, this is important to me.
The instructors are very clear and entertaining. Pro reviews say they are a bit cheesy but I do not think so.
A clean user interface that works well on my iOS devices. It is not as pretty as, say, Memrise or Duolingo, but it is well structured.
For my learning styles I feel the audio lesson, followed by an activity, flash cards, reading, writing and quiz is more thorough than any others have to offer.
Lessons are downloadable on my iOS devices, but...
Cons
...i stay in a hotel with poor wifi and although I download the lessons at home, for some reason my iPad (wifi only) will sit there and spin like its trying to stream the lesson, even though i had previously downloaded it, and this prevents me from even using the lesson at all when it does this
VERY EXPENSIVE. I paid almost $300 for the program for all levels lifetime.

Hi Brian - Good news! The 2021 Edition of our courses will be out soon and all current members, like yourself, will get that update for free.
It's a fine course. It's easy and gets you working on it each day. Nevertheless, the whole program is not that advanced. I was looking for something that can take me from B1 to C or so.
Great, very structured course with a lot of great content suitable for all levels. Content is well explained and there is plenty of opportunity to practice speaking aloud. I wish that the review activities have more varieties. The writing practice, speaking practice and flashcard activities are quite repetitive.
Overall this is a very good program.
*I compare this with DuoLingo online learning as well as a personal coach I use with Verbling. Also against Babble
which I used for 6 months.
*Price is kind of high but it is for a complete program so I'm neutral on this rating.
*Lessons are interesting. I could use less of the banter but still, very good content when focused on actual language
skills. Of great importance to me are the moderators speaking in a clear and moderate speed. Rocket delivers on
this!
* Now to my most concerning (to me) knock...Some of the exercises are terribly long in the Language and Cultural
sections. It's not uncommon to have 50, 60 or greater than 70 words, phrases or sentences to learn, memorize and
recite back. Personally, I get very frustrated when i fail due to sheer volume of material. Knowing how difficult and
frustrating these exercises are, I have to fight the urge to simply by-pass these sections. Reducing the volume within
Language and Cultural modules would be a huge plus for me.

Hi Fred - Thanks for the feedback! Regarding your point about the length of the lessons, we are currently reviewing all of the Language & Culture lessons, and the amount of phrases is one thing that we will be looking at. In saying that, having an abundance of phrases to learn is not a bad thing!
