Very easy to follow. The lessons are broken down into smaller parts and sections, which makes them much easier to understand and follow. I especially like the conversation and word-practice sections. I’m starting to realize that Mandarin isn’t as difficult as I first thought, thanks to this format. I would definitely recommend this course and give it 5 out of 5 stars.

voice recognition sucks. it never picks up my voice or never puts any words in the box. I have a Arctis Nova Pro from steel series so its definitely not the mic quality.

I wish I could write something awesome. The experience is poor. So much speech detection and feedback options - wonderful! If ONLY it would ever recognize my speech input. Made several customer service enquiries... that 1 star reflects the lack of response

The difficulty jump from the standard content to the Survival Kit is way too extreme. It says 20mins, but it actually takes several hours to memorize almost 50 words. It's very unrealistic to expect someone to work through this in 20 mins.

Thanks for your feedback, Corey; rest assured it has been passed along to the team. It’s worth noting that you don’t need to have every word fully memorized before moving on to the next lesson. You’ll continue to get plenty of practice as you progress through the course. Early on, the focus is simply on building a strong foundation.
I am enjoying the course very much. I am an older person so it takes some time to learn but being able to go back & repeat the lesson is fantastic, thanks

The words stated don't always match what google translate states

Our lessons are designed to teach natural, conversational language rather than literal translations. Naturally there will be some difference with Google Translate and other translation software, but our goal is to help learners use the language in real-world contexts. For those phrases where a literal translation is necessary, you will see one on the bottom right of the phrase indicated by "lit." We appreciate your understanding!
The course is well structured with good conversations & voice recognition so feedback is instant. It's great to be able to tune in & practice anytime, anywhere as regular, consistent practice is vital for learning any language, especially Chinese!

The best platform out there to learn languages. I tried many, different styles, different methods.
Moving to an other country, Rocket Chinese has been a excellent addition to talking to locals.
NOTE FOR VOICE RECOG. ISSUES : The voice recog. works just fine BUT, if you have any problem getting it to start on your phone when using the app, you need to install the Google package for speech recog. but you ALSO NEED "Speech Recognition & Synthesis" plug-in (by Google LLC). If you phone is still not authorizing it (for example mainland China phones or certain OS), go back to the Google Play page and make a search as if you wanted to speak STT. It will prompt you to allow speech recog. to operate on your apps.
